Relay Sessions, the Team ES Trackside Campsite and DJ Relay 2022
It's Relay finale week leading up to the virtual marathon this weekend at the RFL sims.
So what's happening?
Lots!!
Not just with Electro Space, but across all 136 Relay teams and supporters, it's a busy week and the final team fundraising week of the 2022 season.
Team ES have now achieved the Gold Team Fundraising badge and we were recently chosen as one of 5 teams to receive a L$£25,000 bonus in the recent Team'munity Challenge. Yaaaay , thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising and to the anonymous sponsor for the extra boost, amazing. 💜
So far Second Life teams have relayed an astonishing L$103,306,170 = $413,224 USD for the ACS and we are not done yet!

Monday 6 June - Switch @ Mix Sessions
Tom and Recki switched playlists and all your tips and donations helped us smash the L$200,000 target last night. That's about $800 USD. Yessssss! Thanks for your support. 💜
Tuesday 7 June - Relay Sessions
The Relay for Life sims open today and we are holding sessions live from the Team ES campsite which I have been creating for the last 2 weeks.
'Heroes Unite!' is a giant pop up comic page designed to encourage reading of all the ACS information boards in a fun, colourful environment. You can tell I'm a mum!!
In the centre is our oversized turntable, the same one in our DJ decks at ES and around the sides are record covers that ES friends have nominated for loved ones.
It has been a lot of fun to create. I am not the best builder, I am prim-tastic! 😂 Importantly, it cost hardly anything to create, a few texture uploads and items from my ridiculous inventory.
Saturday 11-Sunday 12 June - DJ Relay 2022, 12 venues, 1 stream, 45 hours + virtual marathon
Wow this is going to be some weekend with very little sleep as the electronic music community comes together to relay in the best way we know how ... Music and Friends!!
iDJStream has provided the stream for us, and we start the DJ Relay off with the first Midnight Relay Rave at Electro Space. Yes 00am SLT!! That's my 8am!!! Come onnnnnnn, I am ready!!
We will also be exploring the RFL team campsites and walking the track a few times .. I say walk, I am going to try and do a few laps on different 'equipment': Roller skates, a toilet ... Come and join in the fun whilst listening to the DJ Relay stream or the RFL performer stream at RFL sims.
The weekend is a celebration of life and of all we have achieved as a community, Get involved however you can. It truly is inspiring and I am proud to be a part of it. The message is clear, we relay until there is a cure.
