EStival, our summer party, where we come together from different club communities to create one party; music, friends, fun and yes WE PARTIED!
6 days, 6 stages, 72 DJs, 15 Hosts, 8 club communities ... a llama, a donkey, an elephant, a dinosaur ... a peeing Resident, a Wendy's logo and a few glowing tutus !!! This is how we party!
Even in our virtual world, we hang in different crowds, at different places, and EStival is about bringing us together, sharing our love for electronic music, meeting new friends and having FUN!
I loved every day, even at my most tired, good music and good people can keep you partying for 20 hours a day, no problem! 🤣

The biggest THANK YOU to everyone who made EStival 2023.
To the club owner-managers - Whistle & Constance from Wish, Billa from BallerHalle, Charlie from Ripple Effect, Melinda from Flow, Thirteen from Planet 13, Nikky from The Drip and Puddles from MoT2. You helped create this year's festival and it would not be a community festival without you. From decorating your stages, organising schedules, reading all my endless notes lol to promoting the event through your own groups and partying with us. It happened first and foremost because you said yes, let's do it :)
To the 72 DJs who gave their time, their energy, shared their music, their style and made the party POP! Some of you even did it twice!
To the 15 Hosts who helped keep the party running, sending notices, announcing DJs, welcoming everyone and adding some sass and sparkle!
To the photographers, Martin aka Mr Memories, April and all the others who took and shared their awesome photos via Facebook and Flickr.
And also YOU, the party poppers. The energy was amazing, I wish we could do it for real ... although my feet may have hurt more! You make the party A PARTY and this is why we do this. To bring people together to enjoy music, friends, fun, fashion and ... lag!! 😂

To our (reduced) ES Manager Team and our ES local residents, thank you so much for being there when you could be and giving your heart and soul ... bodily fluids, stupid jokes, interesting fashion. This one was tough without the others by our side I know but still we pulled it off. <Enter crude joke here Dan & Easy>
Some of our closest were greatly missed this year, this is the nature of our world but something I am not very good at dealing with. EStival is made with a lot of heart, my heart and I missed you! There, I said it, done!

Are we doing it again?
This was the 4th year of the summer festival at Electro Space.
2020, then called the 4/4 Festival - 4 genres, 4 days. Techno, House, Industrial, EDM+/DJ's Choice
2021, rebranded EStival - 5 days. DnB Stage added
2022 - 7 days! 2 new days by request - Hardcore and Trance Stage. A whole week plus a pre-party and a hangover party!
2023 - 5 days - plus a pre-party and the hangover party!
We will continue to 'EStival' if ES is still partying and you want it, as always.

Estival and festival look so much alike that you might think they're very closely related, but that isn't the case. Estival traces back to aestas, which is the Latin word for "summer" (and which also gave us estivate, a verb for spending the summer in a torpid state—a sort of hot-weather equivalent of hibernating). Festival also comes from Latin, but it has a different and unrelated root. It derives from festivus, a term that means "festive" or "merry." Festivus is also the ancestor of festive and festivity as well as the much rarer festivous (which also means "festive") and infestive ("not merry, mirthless").(it also begins with ES for Electro Space, it's perfect!)
